A Mind Map; The Rise of Consciousness

"Let there be no more desires, for they are the cause of Re-birth."

~ Sudhir Singh

The Rise of Consciousness

(A New Chain of Thoughts)

There are THREE of us living inside one body.

One is The Trapped Consciousness — locked inside a prison we cannot see.

One is The Real You — silent, waiting, watching.

And one is The Pure Consciousness — free, untouched, eternal.

In this series, we will talk about all the three. But we will spend more time to comprehend the first one because it is the toughest one. It tells you about how we got trapped.

The trapped consciousness lives in three cages:

(i) The Prison Inside — which creates an Astral World of our own fears and dreams.

(ii) The Impressions — the marks left by every life, every desire, which become the cause of Re-birth.

(iii) The Golden Cage — the most dangerous cage of all. It is beautiful, comfortable, successful. So we become unwilling to break it.

We think we are free because our cage is golden. But a cage is still a cage.

And so this series begins with one truth:

Let there be no more desires, for they are the cause of Re-birth.

Nothing: The Conclusion (The Empty Theatre)

The Empty Theatre

"Make the true film, even if the hall is empty."

~ Sudhir Singh

In a dream, I saw a movie playing.

It was a film about multiverse reality and Human psychology. Classical. Logical. Exceptionally well made. The first time such a film had ever been made.

I thought, Yes, this must become popular.

But no one had come to watch it.

The movie was playing to an empty hall. So I went and sat alone. I watched it. I appreciated it.

Then people came and started abusing the hero of the film. And do you know who the hero was? A superstar - the kind you would never expect to make such a film. Of course, he is a very good actor, but this was not his style. The style was unshakeably Hollywood. But he wasn't appreciated. However, he said nothing. He just listened.

Then some started beating him. They looked villainous. I decided to help him, but people stopped me. They said, "You have back issues."

I have back issues in real life too. But I did not listen.

I gave him my shoulder and took him towards the car so he could get treatment. I asked a boy to open the door and help me make him sit.

Then people started abusing me too. They said I was doing something illegal. Even he, the hero too, said so.

I was confused. What is going on?

Suddenly, he woke up and started laughing. Everyone started laughing. They said they were just kidding. It was all part of the script.

In another dream, I saw a woman sitting in a public hall. She said she had a barcode on her tongue. She was talking in a strange way I could not understand, yet people were listening to her very carefully.

Then I saw, a child came to meet me. He said his name is Nachiketa.

He told me, "The world will abuse you, beat you, blame you - and then laugh and say it was just a script. People will speak in barcodes - scanned, labelled, priced - and the crowd will listen carefully but you must still make the true film, even if the hall is empty."

Then I heard a heavy voice saying, "One viewer is enough. If that one viewer is you."

A dark image emerged from a corner. It wasn't clear. I didn't get who he was.

NOTHING SERIES ends here. But truth does not.

Nothing -- Day 6: The Dead Corpse of Ego

"Kill your ego before someone else kills it. Let them be deprived of this pleasure by showing them the dead corpse of your ego."

~ Sudhir Singh

Day 6: The Dead Corpse of Ego

(Nothing came back to Bali.)

He asked, "You left everything, still you are happy. How?"

(Bali didn't look away.)

He said, "I had already left everything from inside, for I have something which cannot be taken."

(Then Nachiketa stepped forward.)

He asked him, "Do you have the courage to be bare like truth?"

"Yes. Just like you," said Bali.

(Smiled and replied.)

(The writer was watching all this.)

So, he too came to meet them.

He was asked by Bali, "Don't you want to prove yourself?"

(Writer looked hollow inside as if nothing is left.)

"He has nothing to prove", Nachiketa told.

"He confronted his deepest fear buried inside his unconscious. People call it pessimism, but he is practicing the Stoicism of Marcus Aurelius."

"He has his book, Meditations."

"Not a physical copy, but a copy from the dream world which was there deep inside, before his physical existence."

It inscribed, "Kill your ego before someone else kills it. Let them be deprived of this pleasure by showing them the dead corpse of your ego."

Nothing Day 5: Nothing to Prove

 Day 5: Nothing to Prove

"I am not perfect. I stumble, but there is grace in it."

~ Sudhir Singh

Let this be clear to all — nothing is clear here except the Sakshi (the Witness / a silent watcher). I am quite ordinary. But the 'I' , I am talking about is not I, not anyone who has a human body or a mind. This 'I' is just a witness. Quiet, indifferent, watching, and yet remains the most affected. It absorbs everything. It is not the mind you see every day. It is our shadow -- a shadow beyond comprehension.

It says, "Witness me, else you will remain weak and in control."

Carl Jung said, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."

Whatever is happening with you, it is not because of fate, but because of your deepest fear called the hell inside you. This seems like nothing, but that nothing controls everything, including your best moments and your worst decisions, leading you towards dreadful situations.

Nothing sits beside me and says, "You have no fear left -- to be zero, to be inefficient, to be a fool."

Yes, I am.

Ashutosh smiles, "Like father, like son."

Wisdom is the jewellery, language is just the case

The biggest stupidity of Indians is that we consider language skills equal to intelligence, and sometimes more than intelligence.

To me, ideas and wisdom are more important than language. That is why people do PhDs on Kabir Das and Surdas, but not on Panini — the ancient grammarian and linguist of Sanskrit. Most of you may not have even heard of him, yet you all know Kabir and Surdas.

Wisdom and intellect are the jewellery; language is just the beautiful case that presents it in order.

Kabir and Surdas are popular even though they used imperfect language - because the jewellery was real.

And this is one of the reasons why our students can't learn English properly. Deep down, they are afraid of being mocked, and they dare not speak or write.

NOTHING — Day 4

NOTHING

Day 4: What if You are God playing to be human?

Have you ever thought about it?

Not as a thought but as a possibility.

What if you are God, playing to be human?

This thinking is different. It does not start with the world. It starts with one question:

Who am I?

Gyan Yoga is all about finding the answer to this question. And this very question is the key.

See within. Just see.

Is there anything? Any thought? Just hold its string. Let it be there. Don't fight it. Don't fix it. Just see it.

That thought is coming out of the Self within. You are not the thought. You are the one who is seeing it.

And then comes Albert Einstein's quote — "God does not play dice."

Nothing is random. Everything is there. Every possibility exists. Perhaps you too exist in your topmost version, already.

Then the mind asks, "If everything is fixed, where is free will?"

I feel that there is free will.

Though everything is fixed, therefore every possibility does exist, there is still free will. The freedom to choose which version you align with. The freedom to witness.

But then why do we make mistakes?

Becuz...

There is grace in our failing.

In Age of Ultron, Vision said it to Ultron. And in VisionQuest, eleven years later, Ultron finally says it himself. He finally understood.

We make mistakes because the mistake itself is grace. The failing is not the opposite of perfection. It is the way perfection remembers itself.

If you were already perfect, how would you know?

So God plays to be human. Forgets himself. Fails. And in that failing, remembers who s/he is.

That is Gyan Yoga.

Just see. Just be.

Nothing -- Shiva, the Witness (Day 3)

"Truth is naked. That's why no one dares to accept it, except those who become childlike."

~ Sudhir Singh

Day 3 - Shiva, the Witness

Nachiketa saw a strange dream today. He was walking in an empty place. There was no crowd. Deep inside, he was experiencing the vastness of the Shiv and Shakti. There was a perfect balance -- both inside and outside.

Then he saw himself naked. He found some clothes to cover his upper body. After a short period of time, he saw some people. He felt anxious, walking around, trying to find a safe place to hide. And suddenly, he found a towel to cover himself.

Thereafter, he saw an open prayer ground, looking for his own space — the same one he had seen yesterday.

Then he sat down. And he saw 'Nothing' sitting beside him.

Nothing smiled and said, "Relax. You have removed all the layers."

"I saw Nachiketa sitting quietly and just witnessing the crowd from a distance," Ashutosh said.

Nothing smiled again and said to Nachiketa, "Like father, like son."

First Thou Shall Know Thee

First thou shall know thee

Let thy mind be then free

First thou shall know thee

See the sky is free

And so is ye

First thou shall know thee

Deep inside thou art already free

But first thou shall know thee

Every coin has two sides

No need to divide

No need to fight

Inside thee

First thou shall know thee

Those who seek

They shall definitely find

It will happen anytime

Just feel free

But first thou shall know thee

Divinity dies

Is a fool's paradise

Ye are who ye ought to be

First thou shall know thee

First thou shall know thee

Nothing: Day 2

The Void says, "You see? You have been changed. You are no longer running away from life. You are confronting everything, facing it with a quiet strength just like your inner space, vast and unshakeable -- trying to find where to sit."

~ The Void in me

Nothing Day 2

Last night, Nothing visited me again, but this time it came in four different disguises.

First, it came as a shadow in the house.

There were no lights. The house I was supposed to protect was full of people I loved, and something kept circling around it. I fought. I closed every door I could find. But the real horror began not when I saw it, but when I couldn't see it anymore. When the house became completely dark and I had no idea which corner it would emerge from. I understood then - we are never afraid of what we see. We are afraid of what we cannot see.

Second, it came as a prayer hall.

I went to a place where everyone had a mat, everyone had a place to sit. I kept walking between rows, looking for my name, looking for my corner. Everyone was praying, but I was still searching for where to sit. Maybe belonging is not about entering the right hall. Maybe it is about finding the right space inside it.

Third, it came as an old workplace. The place, I'd started my career.

The corridors were familiar. Someone I once respected said, "You have everything here. Why would you ever leave?" The building was bigger, brighter, and had everything I once dreamed of. And yet, I found myself using my own light to write, my own resources to exist there. I realized, a place can give you facilities and still not give you freedom.

Fourth, it came as a bus full of strangers.

The bus left. I thought I had missed it. Then it came back, with an old voice from the front seat saying, "Come, there is still a seat for you." In a journey full of unknown passengers, sometimes you just need one familiar voice to tell you that you still belong.

I woke up and Nothing was sitting beside me. It said, "You see? You have been changed. You are not running away from life. You are facing everything and trying to find where to sit."

Nothing is there. It is there at the bottom of my heart, telling me that in any case, there will be one thing no one can take away from you — your Self. The space where dreams are projected and vanish, no matter if they are good, bad, or horrible. You are still there, quiet and unshakeable, sitting with Nothing for you are Nothing.

The Blackboard and The Chalk

I say consciousness is neither good nor bad. It just is.

Then I say, we are conditioned to be frightened. Women have been conditioned for decades to be fearful, to be an Aunt Jennifer.

You may say, "You contradict yourself.

Earlier you said no one is good or bad."

They don't listen.

They pick words, not comprehension.

Osho once said - if you write with white chalk on a black board, you can see it. If you write with black chalk on a black board, you cannot. The board remains the same. The chalk changes.

Consciousness is the board.

Neither good nor bad.

Conditioning is the chalk. It writes fear on us. It writes good and bad on us.

To go beyond good and bad is not to deny the writing. It is to see that you are the board, not the writing.

And to unlearn is to wipe the board clean.

People don't want to wipe. They want to argue about the colour of the chalk.

And this is the only problem...

Nothing - Day 1

I feel achievements are nothing but a trap. A trap which stops you from being a void.

Last year I posted - Having no achievement is my highest achievement.

Many may not have comprehended it. But I believe becoming void is what every existence secretly wants to be.

Why?

It's because we are fighting inside ourselves. We are living a life which is not actually ours. A life built on validation - general papers, academic achievements, degrees stamped by a fake society.

I write something completely different, something unconventional, something beyond human comprehension. Not to become something, but to become nothing.

And this is not something I said first. Before me, many Zen masters taught about it. Shunya is not empty. Shunya is full.

So I thought, why not write about it.

So here I start.

From today till November 02, 2026, I will post a new series - Nothing.

Let nothing emerge to grasp everything - including our mind, our ego, and our fake achievements.

Be still.

Be detached.

Be a void.

Fake Morality Trap: The Helplessness and the Hope

 Part 5

The Helplessness and The Hope

World recognises only those voices which have been applauded with concrete achievements. And those who have got complete control over their minds are hardly recognised until they achieve something materialistic.

This year, I have created a few characters from my mind. Some of them came from the layer of my unconscious mind like Monk and the Child in "Monk series" and play: "Shakti". Some came from the core of my heart like Shree and Satya. They manifest my feelings. On the other side, Anant none other than my own Consciousness which often remain detached but sometimes get involve in the world play. I am learning, still learning. Not a good writer but just a writer.

Because when I write, I find myself near to that pure witness. I feel detached.

And I too want this from my students to comprehend.

Not for me but for themselves.

They should know that in world politics there are only three: victim, culprit and beyond the two.

Sometimes, the victim must be punished. Yes, they must. Otherwise, they will never explore their potential. Otherwise, there will never be a corrigendum and updation in their personality.

Only then will they shed the persona of helplessness.

But I know the structure of society is built in such a way that people only listen to those who are successful at a concrete level. And a person like me has no concrete success. My success is of self-mastery and self-discovery — the kind that hardly anyone admires.

But does it really matter?

To some extent yes and to some extent no.

Explore thyself.

The Day Rohan Refused to be a Shield

Today something very small happened at work. A list was forwarded to him. Rohan was told to amend and shorten it. So, he amended, shortened and formatted it and shared it with everyone. Later, one entry in that list turned out to be wrong. A name was mixed up with another similar name.

The error was not his. He had only shortened and amended.

Still, he prepared a correction note and shared the updated version immediately.

Then his senior told him, "You call them and explain."

He said, "Sir, this error did not come from me. I have already shared the correction with you. It will be better if you speak to them."

He said no.

And after saying no, he felt bad.

Why was he told to call? The person who made the original error could have been asked to call. But he was chosen. Because he is known to be soft-spoken and cooperative. Everyone knows it.

Cooperative people are easy to send. They will apologize politely. They will absorb the blame. They will protect the team by sacrificing themselves.

He thought about it. If he had called and simply said, "Sorry, it was a mistake," the other party would have assumed he was careless. His credibility would have dropped.

If he had called and said, "It was not my fault, someone else gave me the wrong information," then he would have looked like a person who blames his own colleagues. He would have been labeled as someone with no team spirit.

In both situations, he would have been judged as wrong. So he took the third path. He refused to make that call.

For the first time, he refused to become a shield for someone else's error.

Now he keeps asking — "Have I become a man of attitude? Have I become a difficult person? Am I losing my goodness?"

The writer don't think so. The writer thinks he is becoming a man who refused to be controlled.

For years, Rohan said yes to everything to keep the peace. People appreciated him because he was convenient, not because he was respected.

Today he said no. Without anger, without disrespect. Just with clarity. He will not carry a weight that is not his.

Feeling bad after saying no does not mean he is wrong. It means he is a good person who is learning to set boundaries. Wrong people never feel bad after saying no.

Rohan is not turning to be bad. He is turning into a person who has realized — his sincerity is not available for misuse.

Fake Morality Trap: The Fragrance of True Morality

Abstract

True morality is like the fragrance of a flower — very subtle to capture. You can't write it in words. It can only be practiced. You can write about the flower, you can describe its colour, but you cannot put its fragrance in words. You have to go near it. You have to breathe it.

~ Sudhir Singh

Part 4, The Fragrance

In the previous two parts, we studied about Pattern and Trap and today, I am going to tell you about fragrance of true morality. Yes, I can only tell you about the fragrance and not about it exactly in words.

True Morality is not about rules. It is about self-control. But this control is not forceful. Forceful control is fake morality — you suppress yourself because you are afraid of punishment or hungry for praise.

My control comes from inner wisdom, after Self-Actualization. When you see clearly, you don't need to force yourself. The wrong simply stops attracting you.

And this morality is not for a handful of capitalists or a chosen few. It favours the benefit of a larger group. It is deeply rooted in compassion, kindness, and Self-Realization.

True morality is like the fragrance of a flower — very subtle to capture. You can't write it in words. It can only be practiced. You can write about the flower, you can describe its colour, but you cannot put its fragrance in words. You have to go near it. You have to breathe it.

This morning I understood this through a dream.

I saw myself travelling in a train. My son was sitting alone on a seat, and then the train started. Then I found myself in my childhood school. My teacher of English, Mrs Gayatri was teaching students in her class. And I was looking for my class and section where I should go, but I couldn't find my class. I was just walking in the corridors because my class doesn't exist in my dream.

Then the school principal saw and criticized me — she said, “Have you seen Dwaparyuga? You wrote as if you were there.” I said nothing. On the wall, my past writings were displayed — writings about Consciousness, Hindu Symbolism, incarnations of the Cosmic Order popularly known among us as: Ram, Krishna. Then, in the corner of a wall, I saw all the headings of my first series of the year 2026: "The Gallery of Noise".

In those writings, I had used a symbolic approach that only a few can get until they read it deeply.

Then I saw a big house. It was locked from outside, but inside there were rooms. It seemed I had already lived in that house.

Thereafter, I saw myself walking in a street surrounded by thick vegetation. There, two boys were playing cricket, and I got an impression that I too often play cricket there, all alone.

When I woke up, I understood — this is what fragrance is.

I cannot explain why I feel I have lived in a house I have never entered. I cannot explain why I write about Dwaparyuga as if I were there. I cannot explain why a boy who played alone still walks alone in the corridors looking for a class that doesn’t exist in that dream.

It can only be lived.

Because true morality isn't taught in classes.

It has not syllabus, no curriculum and no specific teacher.

Fake Morality Trap: The Forgotten Voices - In Detail

Part 3, The Forgotten Voices

"The trap is not that you are told to sacrifice. The trap is that you start loving your sacrifice. Your sacrifice shouldn't come from external validation."

~ Sudhir Singh

Fake morality survives not because it is strong. It survives because it is comfortable.

It tells you, "Sacrifice, and you will be called good. Suffer, and you will be called noble. Obey, and you will be called moral."

And slowly, you don't just obey. You start loving your chain because the chain gives you an identity.

"I am the one who sacrifices."

Without that identity, who are you? That question scares you more than the sacrifice itself.

This is where true morality begins, and this is where everyone misses it.

1. Vishnugupta Chanakya was not moral in your sense.

We made him a clever economist. He was more than that.

Chanakya said, "A person who cannot question the king, the scripture, and his own guru is not moral, he is a slave."

His Arthashastra is not about money. It is about vivek - the courage to see things as they are. He wanted a citizen who is not emotional, not obedient, but awake.

We didn't like that. A citizen who is awakened is difficult to rule. So we turned him into a trickster. We forgot his voice.

2. J. Krishnamurti and Osho said the same thing, 2000 years later.

Krishnamurti said, "Truth is a pathless land. You cannot be led to it by any religion, any guru, any system."

Osho said, "Be a light unto yourself. Don't follow me."

Listen carefully. Both of them were destroying the very business of fake morality. Fake morality wants you to follow the path." True morality wants from you to discover your path.

People went to listen to them expecting comfort. They got a mirror. And a mirror doesn't comfort you, it exposes you.

So what did people do? They made Krishnamurti a mystic you cannot understand. They made Osho a controversial figure you should not listen to.

It was easy. When you cannot refute the message, you defame the messenger.

We missed them too.

Why do we miss every true voice?

It is because true morality demands one difficult thing i.e. Courage to Stand Alone.

Fake morality is always crowd-based. What will people say? Will my community call me good? Will God in their book approve me?

True morality is lonely.

It asks, "Even if no one is watching, even if no one will call you good, even if you will be called bad; what is the right thing?

That question needs intelligence, honesty, and solitude. And we are trained for the opposite: we want quick validation, easy answers, sensational relief.

My writing on fake morality will meet the same fate. I know it already.

Not because people are bad. But because to understand it, you have to lose something - your beautiful dream that "I am good because I suffer."

And no one wants to break a beautiful dream.

But if you have read till here, practice SAKSHI, The Witness.

Be a witness to your own sacrifice.

Ask - Am I doing this because it is right, or because I will be called right?

If it is for being called right, it is fake. If it is right even when you are called wrong, it is true.

That is the entire difference.

Fake Morality Trap: The Trap -- In Detail

Part 2: The Trap

"A person who fears opinions will always remain smaller than their own potential."

 ~ Niccolo Machiavelli

In the previous part, we tried to understand the pattern in detail, and in the end, we found that the faces of power may change, but the blueprint remains the same. People in power debate and criticise each other in public, but meet at dinner parties in private.

They set a narrative to construct a structure of fake morality with the help of their team of intellectuals. And then, people are indoctrinated to bear everything quietly and call it fate. They are taught to follow moral values like "Always speak the truth" and so on. However, the 10% themselves don't follow these values.

But I confess and say this with awareness that I too have been conditioned to always speak the truth, even when it costs me. But I am aware that those 10% use truth only when it suits them. This awareness is my first step out of the trap, and maybe yours too.

Then, these 90% are given small rewards. They are appreciated for their sacrifices, and sometimes an ideal is created among them — an ideal who is later either killed or assassinated. Then they are told, if you too want such rewards, you should also sacrifice.

And now they worry more about opinions than about discovering reality.

Now the question is:

Why they do this?

They do it for Expansion and rule.

The very basis of capitalism is expansionism. To fulfil their ambition, they want full control over natural resources, national income, human resources, politics, and the economy. So they build a structure of morality for the 90%, as I explained above.

And now the question arises:

Is every school of morality a conspiracy?

No, not all.

We will discuss it in detail in the next post, but today, we will try to understand the trap.

The trap is set for all, and for this, a parallel support system is developed. For those who are less intelligent, rallies are organised, religious functions are held, and people are given cheap or free facilities.

And for those who are intelligent, a literature is built by their team of intellectuals. They revise their scriptures and make them more logical.

And finally, we all get trapped.

Fake Morality Trap: The Pattern — In Detail

Thoughts are like patterns. The more you recognize them, the more you can see what lies behind them. Every school of thought has a hidden agenda and a support system. For instance, capitalists and moralists often support each other for their own benefit.

How? Let me explain.

The world has only two categories of people:

First, the rulers — 10%.

Second, the conditioned / indoctrinated — 90%.

The 10% have access to all resources. And the 90% are trained to accept their lives as they are. They are conditioned to believe in their fate so they don't question the system.

Now, let's try to understand how they do it.

For this, two things are done:

First: Formation of Religion without Spirituality.

Second: Providing manipulated literature to indoctrinate people.

And this work is done smartly and secretly. A team of intellectuals is prepared who influence people's reasoning and rational thinking. They first make people sensitive, and for this, a kind of tragedy or untoward incident is created or planned. Then, people become emotional. They become sensitive, and afterwards, a fake narrative is built.

After building the fake narrative, people are provoked and unrest is created so they can't raise their voice against genuine problems like education, poverty, health and mental health. Rather, they are given cheap tools so they forget about it. Such tools decreases their attention time span and ability to comprehend.

And in the entire process, one person from their own group is portrayed as a hero and then he/she is assassinated or killed.

Thereafter, behind closed doors, a plan is built and implemented for the long run.

And now a Blue Print for their 100 years rule is prepared. The faces of power may change but the blue print will remain the same. They do debates, criticise each others in public but meet at dinner parties in private.

This is the pattern.

And once it's seen, you can never unsee it.

Fake Morality is a Trap -- True Morality is Born From Spirituality (Introduction)

Part I

The Pattern

Thoughts are like patterns. The more you recognize them, the more you can see what lies behind them. Every school of thought has a hidden agenda and a support system. For instance, capitalists and moralists often support each other for their own benefit.

How? Let me explain.

The world has only two categories of people:

First, the rulers — 10%.

Second, the conditioned/indoctrinated — 90%.

The 10% have access to all resources. And the 90% are trained to accept their lives as they are. They are conditioned to believe in their fate so they don't question the system.

Part 2 -- The Trap

They are indoctrinated to bear everything quietly and call it fate. They are taught to follow moral values like "Always speak the truth," and so on. However, the 10% themselves don't follow these values.

Why?

Expansion — and rule.

The very base of capitalism is expansionism. To fulfill their ambition, they want full control over natural resources, national income, human resources, politics, and the economy. So they build a structure of morality for the 90%, as I explained above.

And now the question arises:

Is every school of morality a conspiracy?

No, not all.

Part 3 -- The Forgotten Voices

J. Krishnamurti and Osho Rajneesh introduced true morality, but people didn't get what they wanted to say. They missed them. And before them, many more philosophers like Vishnugupta Chanakya came, and they too were either ignored or misunderstood.

I too had already written about fake morality and true morality, but I am certain no one will read my content properly. And if they somehow read it, they will hardly understand it. And even if they do understand, they will feel as helpless as I do. Because I know people don't like difficult and honest intellectual experiences; they like easy, sensational content that gives them temporary relief. My writing will break their beautiful dream.

Part 4 -- The Fragrance

My morality is more about self-control but this control is not a forceful control. It comes through inner wisdom after Self Actualisation.  And I favour the benefit of a larger group of people, not a handful of capitalists. I feel true morality is like the fragrance of flowers — very subtle to capture. You can't write it in words. It can only be practiced. It is deeply rooted in compassion, kindness, and Self-Realization.

But I know the structure of society is built in such a way that people only listen to those who are successful at a concrete level. And a person like me has no concrete success. My success is of self-mastery and self-discovery — the kind that hardly anyone admires.

In the upcoming posts, I will describe these parts in detail. Stay in touch.

Pratapbhanu, a righteous king who is cursed to be Demon

In my son's school, celebration of Dussehra is going on. So, we are instructed to make Ravan craft for Dussehra Activity. My wife along with my entire family is busy to prepare for Kanya Puja and therefore, it is only I who is free because I don't participate in such rituals. However, I don't criticise them. They do what they like. And I do what I think is right for me. As per my understanding, Maa Aadi Shakti is everywhere in every atom. To me, the best way to serve Her is to preserve nature, the feminine power and to respect women.

So being the only member free at home, I have been given this responsibility.

To be honest, I am not good in Craft Work. Even during my B.Ed., it was one of the most difficult task for me. Nevertheless, I have to do and so I start.

While making it, a thought comes -- very few people know the story of Ravan. Most of them know that he was a bad guy. However, he wasn't.

Ravan whom you burn every year wasn't evil in his previous life. His story of becoming Ravan is more than a tragedy. He was Pratapbhanu, a righteous king in his past life. Being very truthful, generous and philanthropic, he defeated and killed many demons and evil kings.

He won all seven islands and became Chakravarti. Also, he performed 1000 yagyas and ruled like Indra. His minister was Dharmaruchi (followers of truth) and very wise.

"Then, how did he become Ravan?"

You may have this question in your mind.

See, the law of Karma is very strange. His digvijaya (victor over the World) and himsa (violence) also played a part.

Not because of his evil deeds but because of his ambitions.

He was cursed for a sin which he didn't even commit.

Now, let's see the point where he along with his entire family were cursed to be reincarnated as demons.

Once he went for a hunt and chased a wonderful boar. That boar was actually a demon named Kalaketu whose family Pratapbhanu had killed earlier.

After being lost and thirsty in the forest, he saw an Ashram. There lived a rival king whose kingdom Pratapbhanu had won. That rival was sitting disguised as a sage. He recognised Pratapbhanu but Pratapbhanu did not recognise him.

That false sage admired his ambition. He said he can make his empire greatest and immortal. He told Pratapbhanu to organise a grand bhog for Rishis and said, "I will cook with my maya and prepare it."

So a huge feast was organised. The food was secretly mixed with meat. Just when Rishis sat to eat, an Akashvani stopped them, "Don't eat, there is meat in it". The Rishis got angry and cursed Pratapbhanu that he along with his entire family will be born as demons in next life.

Then again a voice from sky said it was not his fault, he was innocent. So to balance it, he was given a boon that he will not forget his knowledge even in demon body.

In Jain tradition, it is said that their next Tirthankar, enlightened man will be none-other-than Ravan himself. Chandramohan Jain popularly known as Osho Rajneesh also stated that one who has reached at the peak of evil will become good and vice versa.

To explain it vividly, he gave the example of a paper. If you write on it with black ink and keep writing, the paper will turn black. And now if you really want to write something on it, you have to use white ink only.

So, in his next life, he will definitely become an enlightened man.

Why and how?

Because he already had completed a Cycle...

From my perspective, Ravan is much better than us.

Happy Dussehra!

A Whisper I hear Every Morning

Life is by default full of uncertainty. Don't plan and re-plan your retirement after 60. And don't be too obsessed that you have to do this, do that for your child. But if that doing is coming from your very existence, do it without any second thought right now at this very moment.

40, 50, 60 are warning signs. Maybe you have only 60 years in aggregate. So, do what you want. If you feel like mediating, meditate. If you feel like writing, sit and write. It's what I strongly feel. You may feel a strong drive for something else. Do that. Don't wait.

In the attendance register of life, things will come suddenly, spontaneously.

Explore the truth inside you.

Sit with yourself.

This very moment is very precious. Live it. Enjoy it. Feel it. But the way of living, enjoying and feeling should be your own.

Don't borrow others' way because by doing so, you will never feel that fullness inside you.
