The poor farmer and his three daughters

Once upon a time there was a poor farmer and he used to spend most of his time doing work in the fields. He didn't have any son but still, he felt proud to be the luckiest father of the world as all the three of his daughters were very loving and caring. It was a time of 1857 revolt. 

India was struggling for its independence and most of the youngsters were participating in that war.  The farmer's youngest daughter also wanted to participate in it as she wanted to do something for her country.  But she was also very much worried about the dilapidating condition of her father.  She had decided to make some arrangement for her father before going to particiate in a war.   She showed her willingness to her eldest sister and expressed her desire to do something for the nation.  She appreciated her decision and assured her that the two would take care of the father.

Now the youngest daughter saught to participate in the war.  She took the permission of her father.  The father felt very proud after listening these words from his daughter and out of pride he said,  "Go and be brave like Rani Laxmibai."  She took the pledge in front of her father that she endeavoured to be like Rani Laxmibai. She came to the contact of some of the worriers.  She expressed her deep desire to fight for the nation but the worriers didn't believe her and started making fun of her.  

She felt very gloomy as they were treating her like a weak woman.  Ultimately she had decided to teach a lesson to them so that they could comprehend the power of women. 

She constructed a plot to make them her prey.  Very skillfully and marvellously she took them under her imprisonment.  

Afterwards, they agreed and felt pardon for their biased remarks. The team was being prepared for the revolt.  Though they were amateur yet they had a great fortitude.

They were just like the setting sun but still, they were having the courage to do something for the nation.  The youngest daughter of the farmer was very witty and she constructed a plan against the East India company.  They followed the plan and attacked the army of the East India company.  Now it was the right moment to see how skilful and witty the youngest daughter of the farmer was!

On the other hand, the two daughters of the farmers were helping her father for ploughing the field.  They were performing all the deeds very skillfully which was considered the copyright of men at that time.  The farmer was very happy with the performance of his two daughters and decided to give them a reward.  

One night he called both of his daughters and told them that her mother was a person having some supernatural power.  He told them that due to it they too had the same.  He told them the way how to awaken their powers.  He said that you have to recite the word eikraj repeatedly and then their powers will be awakened.  Both of the sisters told very humbly to the father that they didn't need it as with great power great responsibilities also came. 

They suggested that this power should be given to their youngest sister as she was having a philanthropic set of mind.  After listening to these words the farmer told them, "You have to think of your youngest sister and repeat this mantra four times."  Both of the sisters did so.  And in the end, the youngest daughter got supernatural powers.  She killed most of the army of the East India Company and also saved her companions. 

Thus, in the end, she saved her village from the Britishers.  Though very few people knew about her but she was one of the ladies who fought in 1857 revolt very silently and was killed by her own companion.

Learning and knowledge NCF-2005 Chapter 2 critical anlysis (learning with burden)

      This chapter establishes the facts that learning of a child should be done in natural condition and the child's learning should be natural as if he or she is learning the sitting and walking habits.  Most of the time in our day to day life we saw that children learn out of curiosity.  They actively engage with the world around them and tried to identify different objects with the help of their senses.

     Most of the time it has been seen that we create barrier for the natural learning of our children as we think that they are just wasting their time and energy.  But it is the process of their learning.  Though we call ourselves a great scholars but still we don't find: why our students are facing lot of problem while learning in schools?

Schools have their own criteria for checking their learning but their evaluation is useless as it is based on rank and number system not based on life experience.  Our evaluation techniques are not as good as we consider because it just check the cognitive development of a child.  Though NCF 2005 helps to check their affective and conative domain also but it is far from implementations.  The reason is the only touchstone for checking the abilities of students, schools and teachers are "Marks in 90s and above 90s."  Such a damn jock it is!  I am one of the students who never got more than 60% in my school life but still, my knowledge base is more than these students of 90s because my teachers also focus to strengthen my understanding abilities not cramming abilities.

     Here in this chapter, it has been emphasized that children are an active learner, therefore, the textbook culture should be avoided.  But tell me truly in how many schools learning is based on the active engagement of learners?  Rather students are forced to mug up things so that they can produce a good result which further helps the schools to sell their products.  After their studies in school when they enter colleges, they found completely different things.  They saw that teachers are just giving the lectures and doing the debates in class and then they find themselves nowhere.  

     In this chapter, it was told that child-centred pedagogy should be their mean of giving primacy to children's experiences, their voices, and their active participation.  But is such kind of pedagogy really being practised in our schools?  As per NCF-2005 chapter, 2 students should take initiatives to do things, to ask questions and to pursue investigations but most of the time chalk and talk method is used and the teacher is always busy to complete the syllabus.  If these things can't be implemented then why we invent such ideas and theories?  

       This chapter focus that children should be provided such kind of environment where they feel they are valued but is it happening?  One of the biggest barriers to the development of a child's thinking abilities is their parents.  They want marks.  They want the 90s and above 90s and the school, teachers, Principals also want this.  Now the child also starts thinking that marks are more important than knowledge.  If marks are important, then see how many marks Mahatma Gandhi got during his schooling.  If marks are important then why J. Krishnamurti refused to get teachings in schools.  If marks are important then think about Sandeep Maheswari who is a college drop out student!  

       Now let us talk about development and learning.  First lets start from a question what is development?  and what is learning?  And what is the difference between development and learning?   Development is the result of learning and learning is a process of our life experiences.  Now let us see how many students have a learning based on their life experience and what kind of development they have now?

     This is the bloody shit system which just wants the 90s not learner, teachers.  They want numbers not knowledge.  Do we think our students are understanding their subject matter deeply or just remembering the facts and forget after examinations?  Is there learning without burden or learning with a burden?

The True journey.

Everyone is going towards a journey,
a journey of eternity,
sometimes walking,
sometimes laughing,
and sometimes crying,
but the journey goes on,
continuously.

It is a journey of time
which never stops for a while.

It is running as if never comes again,
though we are thinking
that the time will come back again,
but it never comes
just like the past.

We meet people,
and talk with them.

Sometime

we like them.

Sometime not,
 but the journey goes on.

It never stops.

Only the Faces are changing,
thoughts are changing,
but still there is something
which never change,
which never change like the old wall,
where people are spiting,
and it looks like a fall,
a fall of eterrnity,
a fall of humanity.

But still the journey goes on,
still the journey goes on.

Look the birds are flying,
look the people are running,
but why are they running?

Why are they running?

I ask from myself again and again.

So I decided why not to ask?

Why not to ask the cause of running?

So I decided to ask a question from me
and then I ask, "Why are you running?"

He said because time is running,
I told him why not to stop the time?

Why not to stop the watch?

He smiles and said,
"It can never be done at all
because life is so small."

I told him again,
"why not to stop
and find the cause?"

He said this journey can never be stopped.
This journey can never be stopped.
Until it never comes to its Lord.
Until it never comes to its Lord.

But who knows if the journey goes on,
but who knows if the journey goes on.

The Education and philosophy

Philosophy and education both are the same things.  Only the difference is that one is shadow and another is a body itself.  Philosophy work as a shadow which provide us the ideas regarding the future implementations in the field of education whereas Education gives it a ground to be implemented at a same time.  In Indian school of thought philosophy means darshan.  Darshan stands for something which guide us to look inside.  Thus philosophy helps us to introspect and guide us what are our weakness and what are its solutions?
       Lets talk about the education of present scenario.  The present education is though having a fine philosophy but it is not implemented at the ground level.  Why so?  The reason is commercialization of education.  Education is something which is not a subject of earning rather it is a subject devoting and sacrificing.  But now education become a business but lead different education institutions towards cut throat competition.  And ultimately the main victim of competition is student and the teacher.  Schools want grades and 100 out of 100 marks whereas for implementing it teachers are forced to make the things happen.  Further teachers force students to learn without understanding as our curriculum is very comprehensive therefore everything is done in wrong manner.  Schools don't bother about the real knowledge as their main concern is marks and grades.  Students also don't bother as the touchstone for their knowledge is their makes and grade.  Now the question is:  Where is education and where is learning and who is a true learner?
       As per the guidelines of NCF-2005 learning should be based on understanding and without burden but tell me very honestly how many students feel burden-less in their learning and how many students able to understand everything completely?  It means NCF-2005 is not implemented at the ground level and cooperative learning is not being emphasized.  Let me predict the future of our country.  In future students have 100 percent marks but having base less.

Competitiveness a blessing or curse.

Ravan is the most intelligent person having fine intellectual skills, acquired the knowledge of all the Vedas and considered as the great learner, having a fine understanding of discrimination between right and wrong but only one thing became the cause of his fall i.e. his lust for women.  He raped his own Bhabi the wife of Kubera, raped all the appsaras lived in the Heaven, Killed his own brother Kubera, killed all the Rishis doing yagya for gods and put their blood on a pot.  Then dumped it in the ground. Later Janak worshipped for a child.  Lord Brahma told him to plough the fields without dress during the morning time, then they found a little girl child crying in the field.  This Girl child was no one but the blood of rishis collected in the pot.  Thus the real mother of Sita is Earth and Father is all those Rishis who were killed by Ravana.  And later, this girl became the cause of the death of Ravana.  Those who said Ravana is good are mistakenly exploring the wrong information and showing their intellectual bankruptcy.   Whatever, He did due to his competitiveness.

       Lucifer becomes Satan due to his competitiveness and rebeled against the God.  Then turned to be a serpent and betrayed Adam and Eve. Son of God was sent to save the children of Adam and Eve who is now worshipped as Christ.  He didn't compete rather enhance his True self and led Himself toward Self realization and later turned to be selfless and philanthropic.  Whatever arguments anyone can give and whatsoever anyone tends to justify but Right is right and wrong is wrong.  Due to competitiveness, Suyodhana turned to be Duryodhana, due to competitiveness Lucifer an angel turned to be Satan the Master of Demons, due to competitiveness Kansa killed six sons of Devki, due to competitiveness people are creating a conspiracy.  Due to competitiveness Cassius plotted a conspiracy against Ceaser.  Competitiveness is a crime.

      Do we really need to be competitive to be successful?  I don't think so because in actuality there is only one truth that is God or we can say the pure self.  If everything is one then why to compete and with whom to compete!  Lord Krishna in Mahabharata told Arjuna that his duty is just to do his work and nothing else because every action leads us toward somewhere.  He very wisely told Arjuna that though with doing krama one cannot be influenced by its impression because then detach ourselves from the result of the krama and consequence is, we keep remain free from our all actions or we can say krama Mukta just like Janaka.

     I can simplify it with the help of one of the stories which I read in a book written by Swami Shivananda "Karma Yoga."  In it, he told us about a story of two young men.  Both are strong and healthy and living a life of Bhramcharya.  One day both are doing Pranayama in the riverside of Kashi suddenly they found two women drawing in the river.  Both of the young boys jumped together and save the life both of the women and took them towards the riversides.  The first young man said, "Almighty has given me an opportunity to serve you.  Thank you very much for providing me with an opportunity to help you."  After saying these lines he left the place.  But the second young man said to another woman,  "Because I saved your life and according to shastras those who can save your life can be able to be your husband.  So I am offering to you to marry me."  The woman decided to marry the second young man.

     Now the actions are same but the Bhavas or intentions are different.  The first one though did the same action which the second one did.  But the first one is not influenced by his action whereas the second one is badly tied himself with the result of his action.  So, friends, this is Nishkam karma yoga.

     Thus competitiveness need not be required for performing an action and with the help of Karam yoga, we can save ourselves from the result of our action either good or bad.

Insight - Divide and Rule

DIVIDE AND RULE, many times we hear about this phrase and often use it also in our day to day life.  Though society and people seem to be the same and just like the one group i.e. humanity but still something enforces us to avoid humanity and give emphasis to the self-made groups.  These groups are certainly made due to the feeling of separatism and egotism.  If we erase these two things then perhaps there will not be more than one group i.e. human race.  But due to our personal benefits and satisfaction of our ego, we made groups based on religion, language, region, culture, and country.  The thing which we need to comprehend is that we all are the different leaves and flowers of the same plant.

And the very common thing in all of the groups which are being made due to the upper mentioned frictions i.e. an individuality or we can say a mind. Don't we ever try to understand that on somehow our own ego is forcing us to make different groups??

For the exact amplification, I would like to share one of my personal life experience.  As I belong to a Rajput(Agni vansha) family that is why the people of my village are having a great sense of egotism regarding their caste.  They consider themselves as brave and superior.  Recently my nephew is arguing with my sister that the Surya Vanishes(Rajputs) are the greatest and there is no one like them.  She told me regarding his opinion.  I just laugh because I was thinking about who give us a title that we are Rajputs or Brahmin.  It is the diplomatic game of the people of the higher class to acquire the benefits.  First, we are human and our duty to save the rights of human beings. 

Therefore, the first thing first is that we should not be violent or aggressive just because someone has hurt our religion or belief rather be thankful to them for providing us with an opportunity to judge our power of tolerance, and if somehow we fail to tolerate then try not to harm anyone because God lives in his body also. And moreover, bravery is not the inheritance or copyright of a certain race or a group. Rather any person who has guts and also having a feeling of diligence, industriousness, and honesty toward his or her task or deeds can acquire it.  

Because honesty and bravery both of the terms are synonyms. Only a brave can be honest and only an honest person can be brave.  

Now, where is caste, religion and race? 

So I just want to conclude my perspective in a few of the lines that these things are made only to divide us so that we can become slaves and ruled by the ruler and mind you every time we are being ruled only in this manner.  So let's join hands together and take a pledge that we are humans and Son of God. 

That's why we are intelligent and brave and no one can divide us on the above basis.
