The Biography of
Swami Vivekananda his East and West Disciples. (Book
Review)
This Book is based on the
life of Swami Vivekananda and his Struggle to know the Truth. For me, this book is much close to my heart
because I also have a deep desire to know the truth. In this book, the main focus of the Author is
to show the life Struggle of Vivekananda as well as his deep desire to know about God
and His Existence. The first very moment
when I started reading it, I found a great strong perspective about this book as the
Author presented every event of the life of Vivekananda very much
systematically and all the aspect of writing a biography has been followed minutely. The beginning of this book is very much
appropriate and the Author has done full justice with his work by showing
various aspect of His life. The
personality of Vivekananda has been described very much Excellently through
showing various incidents of His lifelike showing childhood incident when it
has been said by the Author that he was very much restless during his childhood
and couldn’t sit for even a single moment. The characteristic of Vivekananda’s
mother has been well described and also told about her religious life. The author here in this book not only shown the
Characteristic of only Vivekananda rather he also has told us about His Guru
Ramakrishna Paramahansa who was a mystic man.
The meeting of Vivekananda and Ramakrishna was very much heart touching
and many times it seemed as Ramakrishna knew everything about Him. The speech of Vivekananda at Parliament of
Religions in America is very deep and Author has done full justice to represent
it wholeheartedly. In one word I can
say this book is very good and it showed the glory of Vivekananda’s learning
capabilities and deep Understanding about Jiva and Brahma.
